Installing the command-line client

Overview

The command-line client for the Gateway can be obtained from our SourceForge project page here . The source is available along with a simple .exe and .jar file for convenience. The installation in Linux or Windows is fairly straightforward as documented below.

Requirements

  • Java Runtime 1.5 or newer.

Windows Only Installer

The client for Windows is supplied as part of an installer that places it in the Start menu and adds appropriate entries into Add/Remove programs.

  • Simply download the .exe file from here .
  • Run the installer with defaults.
  • Verify installation by navigating to: Start Menu > Programs > GatewaySSTPClientCli > client-sstp-cli-(version).exe.
  • To execute the command-line client you must provide arguments specified in the Usage section.

Linux/Windows JAR Execution

No installation is needed to run the client, it can be executed from a .jar file.

  • Obtain the .jar file from here .
  • From the console, in the same directory as the .jar file, run the command:
      java -jar gateway-sstp-client-cli-standalone-1.0.jar
